2026 Masao Horiba Awards

The Masao Horiba Awards recognize outstanding early-career researchers in analytical and measurement technologies. The 2026 theme is “Analytical and Measurement Technologies for Advanced Materials Contributing to a High-Efficiency Energy Society,” covering fields such as power semiconductors and battery materials. The application deadline is May 12, 2026, and each awardee will receive a certificate and a prize of JPY 2 million over two years. We hope that this award will be an encouragement to those working in this field, and that many people will apply this year.
